Guy Johnson's Safari - click on the picture to proceed to Google Maps

My friend Guy Johnson who I have known for many years (15? 20?) recently went on a huge road trip and documented it as he went using Google Maps. He posted a little anecdote from each stop he made. Most of it is true except generally the last sentence, which is a joke, which I need to point out, because Guy's humor is very dry.

Anyway, check it out - it's pretty cool.

  1. Hi Stephen,
I've read your post from January 17, 2005 (Stage Show) but thought I answer you here cos I don't know whether you will read comments to two year old posts. - I also like ragtime piano very much (but play the piano very badly), and I'm a big admirer of Irving Berlin, so I thought maybe you would like my blog, http://irvingberlin.blogspot.com/ (please let me know!). And I never before heard "God bless America" in a ragtime version, but liked it very much (according to your music samples).

    Have a good time,
    Chris.

  2. Thanks. Just so you know, BlogSpot emails me whenever I get a comment on any post, old or new, so posting on old blog entries is fine.

    I'll check out your site.
