This is priceless. The article covers a range of CPU opcodes that basically lock up the processor.

What's awesome is that the "f00f" in the title sounds like "foof" but it's also part of the opcode!

That's some awesome hexspeak.

    I remember looking at this with a logic analyzer while at Cyrix. It hung the CPU's bus - very bad. They should have caught this because it was easy to reproduce. This was withing a week of when the "coma bug" was reported so we didn't make a big fuss over Intel's blunder. (Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.)
